APPLICATION RANGE
Rip and impact resistant conveyor belts are reccomended for carrying lumpy, jagged materials in heavy duty conditions. These types of conveyor belts feature high impact and tear resistance provided by a special textile or metal weave called a breaker. The type of breaker used to manufacture rip and impact resistant conveyor belts differs depending on the application. For increasing lateral strength, high elongation steel mesh is used as weft cord. For increasing lateral stiffness, regular steel mesh can be used. Breaker material is also available as a fabric weave with increased tear and impact resistance for lighter working conditions where steel is not required.
CARCASS STRUCTURE
The carcass consists of 2,3, 4 or 5 plies of synthetic EP (Polyester-Nylon) fabric whcih feature low elongation and good tensile strength.
